How this site makes money
Tool Picks is free to read. When you click a "Try it" button and later sign up or pay for that tool, the vendor may pay us a referral commission. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the vendor's marketing budget, not your pocket.
In line with the FTC's Endorsement Guides, we say this plainly on every page that contains an affiliate link, and we put it before the first link rather than in the footer.
What a commission does not change
- We do not list a tool because it pays. Some tools on the list pay nothing; they are there because they fit.
- Commission rates do not affect ordering. Tools are listed alphabetically.
- Prices shown are the vendor's own list prices, re-checked regularly. If a price looks wrong, the vendor's pricing page wins.
- We never show a vendor's affiliate URL directly. Every link goes through our own redirect so we can count clicks and keep links current.
Videos and social posts
Our short videos end with "link in bio". That link lands here. Captions on those videos carry the same disclosure, usually as "#ad" or a note that we may earn a commission.
